Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Everything K9 ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices — including for our SMS text-message program.

Information we collect

  • Contact info you give us: name, phone number, email, mailing address, emergency contact.
  • Dog info: name, breed, age, sex, weight, vet info, vaccination status, feeding, medication, behavior, and special needs.
  • Booking & service info: service type, dates, times, notes, invoices, contract signatures.
  • SMS consent records: whether you opted in to transactional and/or marketing text messages, the exact disclosure text you saw, the date/time of consent, your IP address, and browser user-agent (retained for compliance).
  • Automatic technical data: minimal request/log data needed to run and secure the site.

How we use it

  • To respond to inquiries and confirm bookings.
  • To provide boarding, training, and daycare services and communicate about them.
  • To send appointment reminders, contract signature requests, and invoices by email and/or SMS (transactional).
  • To send promotional messages, only if you separately opted in (marketing).
  • To keep records required for legal, tax, or compliance purposes, including SMS consent evidence.

SMS text-message consent & data

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of the services we provide to you (such as our SMS platform provider) is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Our booking and client-management platform — including text-message delivery — is built and operated for us by Canery LLC (canery.me) as our service provider. Everything K9 is the sender named in every message. Canery LLC may process your phone number and consent records only to deliver these messages on our behalf, and never sells or shares mobile information or opt-in data for marketing purposes.

Types of messages you'll receive

  • Transactional (program: Everything K9 Appointment & Billing Alerts) — appointment reminders, contract signature requests, and invoices/receipts.
  • Marketing (program: Everything K9 Promotions, optional opt-in only) — special offers, events, and program updates.

Frequency, cost & carriers

  • Message frequency varies based on your booking activity.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to opt in, get help, or opt out

  • Account notification (transactional) messages: you opt in by submitting the request form on our contact page — the disclosure appears directly above the submit button — or by creating an account in our client portal. These messages relate only to services you requested.
  • Promotional messages: require a separate, optional, unchecked-by-default checkbox on the same form. Marketing consent is never a condition of purchase or of using our services.
  • Reply HELP to any message from us for help, or contact us at (612) 390-1867.
  • Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from that program. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Consent records we keep

We store your consent choices, the exact disclosure wording you saw, the timestamp, your IP address, and browser user-agent — this is our legal record of your consent under the TCPA and CTIA/carrier guidelines. If you don't check the promotions box, we record that you declined and we don't send you marketing texts.

We share phone numbers only with service providers who help us deliver messages (for example, a telephony provider such as Twilio) and only for that purpose. Contact Everything K9 at (612) 390-1867 or through our contact page with any questions about our SMS program.

Who we share information with

  • Trusted service providers we use to run the business (booking system, email/SMS delivery, payment processor, veterinary care in emergencies).
  • When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of people or animals.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep booking, contract, invoice, and SMS consent records for as long as reasonably needed to run the business and to meet legal and regulatory obligations, then delete or anonymize them.

Your choices

  • You may ask us to update or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
  • You may opt out of any SMS program by replying STOP.
  • You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the link in the email or replying to us.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure — please contact us right away if you suspect a problem.

Children

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
